After our first full day some of the kids still had energy. Breakfast at the hotel was great and we hopped on the bus and headed to Kyoto. Made a pit stop for Starbucks, then back on the road. The bus is deluxe and our driver is awesome!

We had a bento box lunch and then saw the Emperor's summer house(palace) and beautiful garden where some of the kids fed the carp and turtles in the pond.

Off to the Golden Gate temple and then Golden Pavilion. Next was another temple where the walk to it was filled with street shops! Yes shopping! Money burning in their pockets had a chance to be spent. We then settled into our hotel and went to a five story mall for dinner and some more shopping. After check in, Mr. Fast and Mr. L took a group to the Kyoto train station where they could see the bullet train and a great view of the city! Mr. Fast rewarded the adventurous ones with a treat from "Mr. Donut". Today will be a travel day and then meeting the home stay families. All the kids spirits are up and full of excitement.
